Happenings is a series of guided reflections and prayers using visual images.

Peter Thomas, the creator of Happenings recalls the events of a June evening back in 2008. Late one Sunday evening I received a phone call from a local retreat house, a speaker booked for the following day had been taken ill, could I help?

As I scrambled around my garage frantically searching for inspiration, four ideas emerged: photos, play-dough, post-it notes and jenga. The school from Ripon along with forty five Year 10 students greatly appreciated the day, and two further bookings were received.

I took photographs of the day’s activities and later put those ideas into displays and reflections. In 2011 my daughter, Bethan helped with additional photographs and Happenings was born. I am currently Minister at Grassington Congregational Church and part-time schools worker throughout the Craven area of North Yorkshire.
